Why choose me as your counsellor?
I understand how hard it can be when you are struggling. I’ve experienced my own challenges in life and know firsthand the benefits of therapy.
First, my migration to Australia as a young girl left me feeling lost, alone, unsecured and overwhelmed with grief for my home country. Later, in my 30’s I went through another period of unrest where I became a single mother and the sole parent for my 3 children. During this time I started professional counselling for myself and found creative therapies extremely helpful. I could get in touch with my emotions quicker than in Talk therapy and therefore I was able to make better decisions on how I want to live my life.
Counselling helped me to become a stronger person and inspired me to become a counsellor. I decided that I wanted to help others as I had been helped.
I have been practicing therapy as a trained art therapist and a counsellor for the last 9 years. I have been in private practice since 2006, and work in the community and various organisations as an art therapist. I am a well-informed counsellor and empathic listener. I treat all people with respect and acceptance, and provide a safe and welcoming space for you to be heard.
